HomeMy Public PortalAbout03-06-2023 PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT MARCH 6, 2023 The Board of Directors for Richmond Power& Light Plant met in regular session on March 6, 2023, immediately following the regular meeting of the Richmond Common Council, in the Community Room of the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Parker presided. ROLL CALL: Board members present were Doug Goss, Lucinda Wright, Bill Engle, Jeff Cappa, Jeffrey Locke, Gary Turner, Jane Bumbalough, and Larry Parker. Absent was Ron Oler. Also present were: Tony Foster, General Manager; Andrew Sickmann, Corporate Council; Karen Chasteen, City Clerk; and, Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Board member Locke moved to approve the minutes of the February 6, 2023 meeting, supported by Board Member Bumbalough. Upon a roll call vote, the motion carried with an 8-0 vote. APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS: Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Board Member Locke moved to approve claims for payments in the amount of Six Million Nine Hundred Ninety Four Thousand Six Hundred Seventy Three Dollars and ninety nine cents (S6,994,673.99), supported by Board Member Cappa. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried 8-0. OLD BUSINESS: • OPEN BIDS FOR A 2023 CLASS 3 EXTENDED CAB 4 X 4 TRUCK WITH UTILITY BODY FOR THE LINE DEPARTMENT: Board Member Turner moved to accept the Proof of Publication, supported by Board Member Engle. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Bid received-- Cronin Automotive, Richmond, IN -2024 F350 - $81,108 Board Member Engle moved to refer to the General Manager for due diligence, supported by Board Member Locke. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Board Member Turner. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Bid received - Altec Industries, Inc., Indianapolis - $215,501 Trade In - $40,000 $175,501 Board Member Goss moved to refer to the General Manager for due diligence, supported by Board Member Bumbalough. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • OPEN BIDS FOR CONTRACT MOWING: Board Member Goss moved to accept the Proof of Publication, supported by Board Member Wright. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Bids were received as follows. The Yard Guy, Hagerstown $1830 ProTurf Lawncare LLC, Williamsburg $2464 White Oak Lawn Care, Richmond $1650 BO'L Lawn Care, Fayette County = not accepted - did not use appropriate bid forms Greenleaf, Richmond $2795 These bids have a three year option to renew each year. Board Member Locke moved to refer to the General Manager for due diligence, supported by Board member Engle. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. The Board will meet after the Council Meeting on March 20 to award the mowing bids.
