AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
ORDINANCE 89-02
FLOOD DAMAGE PREVENTION ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, in order to comply with recent regulations of the
National Flood Insurance Program, Moab City Council feels it is
necessary to amend Ordinance 89-02 Flood Damage Prevention
Ordinance, specifically to amend Subsection 3.2 of Section 3.0
General Provisions of said Ordinance regarding the Flood
Insurance Study for the Moab City Corporation,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS:
That Subsection 3.2 of Section 3.0 be amended to read as
follows:
3.2 BASIS FOR ESTABLISHING THE AREAS OF SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD
The areas of special flood hazard identified by the Federal
Emergency, Management Agency in a scientific and engineering
report entitled, "The Flood Insurance Study for, the Moab City
Corporation," dated December, 1979, with an accompanying Flood
Insurance Rate Map{FIRM) is hereby adopted by reference and
declared to be a part of this ordinance. The Flood Insurance
Study and FIRM are on file at 12.5 East Center Street.
