The Council of the Village of Medina met in regular session Tuesday, January 7,
1969 at 7:45 P. M.
Wayne Neddermeyer - Mayor in Chair

All members present.
The minutes of the regular meeting of December 3, 1968 read. Moved by Harold
Winterhalter to approve the minutes after adding "in surrounding communities"
to the motion with regard to the U300.00 license fee for out -door theaters.
Seconded by Rayburn Anderson
Motion carried.
The minutes of the special meeting of December 17, 1968 read. Moved by Arthur
Theis that the minutes be approved as read.
Seconded by Raymond Bosch.
Motion carried.
Mr. *lonen appeared with regard to the incorrect footings for the barn he
is building. Moved by Harold Winterhalter to table the matter of the
footings to June 1, 1969.

Motion carried.
Alfred Hale appeared to question the fact that his mailbox has been knocked
over by the snowplow.
Moved by Rayburn Anderson to re-appoint_.Raymond Bosch as acting mayor in the
absence of the Mayor.

Moved by Arthur Theis to appoint the Minnetonka Sun as the official newspaper.

Moved by Raymond Bosch to appoint the Farmers State Bank of Hamel as the
official depository of the Village.

Moved by Harold Winterhalter to re -appoint Felix Laumann as village hall

Moved by Raymond Bosch to appoint Arthur Theis as chairman of the Recreation,
Library and Welfare Committee.

Moved by Rayburn Anderson to appoint Mills Engineering, Inc., as village
engineer for 1969.

for 1969.

officer for 1969.

Moved by Raymond Bosch that we appoint Wayne Neddermeyer as regular delegate
to the Hennepin County League of Municipalities.

Motion carried.
Moved by Harold Winterhalter to appoint Raymond Bosch as alternate delegate
to the Hennepin County League of Municipalities.

Moved by Arthur Theis to appoint Strand and Roe, certified accountants,
to be our auditors for 1969.
Seconded by Harold Winterhalter.

Moved by Rayburn Anderson that we set the following fees for 1969 for workmen's
salary and tractor operator: Labor and general helper $2.50 per hour,
wingman for snowplowing r 2,75 per hour and truck driver3.25 per hour.

Moved by Rayburn Anderson that we increase the Clerk's salary to 8250.00 a
month for 1969.

Discussion with regard to new contracts with tie four fire departments. Moved
by Wayne Neddermeyer to appoint Raymond Bosch and Rayburn Anderson to attempt
to negotiate a contract with the four fire departments serving Medina.

William Mills gave a report on the Hamel sewer and water project and also on
the Brookview road.
Moved by Raymond Bosch to iu.e cigarette license for 1969 to the following:
Beverly Pettit of the "55" Club; Gladys B. Vollmer of Glac-Mar Cafe;
Joseph Raskob of Medina Recreations, Inc.; Rarold and Dwaine's; and Ray
Schmid of Schmid's Grocery.

Moved by Harold Winterhalter to have a special meeting Tuesday, January.l4th
at 7:30 P. M. for the purpose of police evaluation and consideration of the
Senescall liquor license.

Moved by Rayburn Anderson to adopt the ordinance amending
Medina Village Code changing amount of the annual fee for
dumping of disposal of any garbage, refuse or other waste
kind in the Village of Medina from $300.00 to $500.00 per
