AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
EXCEL ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES, INC.
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional environmental services
related to additional services related to UST Removals /Soil Disposal with regard to 46
Washington Avenue, for ext. #2, #3 & #4; and
WHEREAS, Excel Environmental Resources, Inc. possesses the requisite knowledge,
training, experience and professional license to provide said services; and has submitted a
proposal to provide said services at a cost not to exceed a total amount of $36,815.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose. Acct. # c-04 -- 17- 104 - 201
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret as follows:
1. The proposal from Excel Environmental Resources, Inc. for
professional environmental services related to UST Removals /Soil
Disposal for 46 Washington Avenue at a total cost not to exceed
$36,815.00 for ext. #2, 93 & #4 at the rate set forth in Excel
Environmental Resources, Inc.'s existing contract with the Borough is
hereby approved.
2. Annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal.
3. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's
Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
4. A copy of this Resolution to be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department and Excel Environmental Resources, Inc.
