pq The Regularvmeeting of Council was held to -day at 4:00 p.m. and
was atten Jed by the Mayor,who presided,and Councilmen Walthour,Espy,
ei Logan,Horovitz and Cann,a,nd MJlr.W.C.Goodman,.aiso Mr. P.P.Mclntyre.
The Mayor informed Council that there would be a small surplus of un-
used materiels from the Jetty work that is being done at Lovell Station'
and. said that he thought it would be a good idea to sell it if it was
fould that it co 1d not be used any other place,the opinion of Council ;,
was that the Mayor be given the authority to dispose of it to th
interests of the Town.
The matter of ficnishing up the shelling of Ninth street between Butler
and Third avenues was discussed and it was decided t3ia.t this street
s o_ild be completed.
Council decided that the taking over and maintaining of the 20 foot
strip of land adjacent to the property of Mr 0.J.Oliver and his associa
could not be done at this time,it was decided that if Mr. Oliver and
his associates would agree to pay for the -,aterials needed to pave
this strip that the Town would lay same and grade t e strip.
Mr.Car_n said that in his opinion the Town should not accept any small
strips-of land for private uses.
Mr Espy read co letter from Mrs..Fdelaine "Graham requesting that Thir_t
street from Butler avenue to the :,.each be opened for her ti. she was
the holder of considerable property in that immediate vicinity. l'fo
action was taken by Council.
Tr. Good:::an informed Council that he had been instructed to make a
street around the property of LID.. ?red Haar situated between Lazaretto
Creek and Estill Station,Council expressed surprise at. this,and Mr
C Bann said t-at The Town authorities should b: consulted whenever
work of this nature was to be done.
There being no, further business Council adj Jurned subject to the call
of the Mayor.

The regular meeting of Town Council,was held to -day at 4:00 p.m. and
was attended by the Mayor, •ho presided,and Councilmen Logan,Espy,Walthour
and Farr,also Mesrrs.C.E.Alexander and Sam Bernstein.
The Mayor brought up the matter of the petition of Mr..J.Solms rela-
tive to oepening up the Strand from Si3teenth to Seventeenth streets,
the Mayor informed Council that Mr. Solms asked that,if the property
Sowners agreed to furnish materials would the Town put same dovrn,the
opinion of Council was that it could see no objection to this and it
was decided to have him get the property owners together,get their
views and subMit same to Council.
A letter from Mayor Saussy was read thanking the Town for the flowers
sent him at his inaugaration.
