AUTHORIZING EMERGENCY REPLACEMENT TO BOROUGH HAI~L FURNACE
Whereas, the furnace at the Borough Hall has rapidly
deteriorated and is in need of immediate replacement, and
Whereas, an inspection by the Borough Administration
reveals that the current condition requires immediate
attention and currently threatens the health, safety and
welfare of the Borough of Carteret, and
Whereas, it is necessary to secure the replacement of the
furnace to alleviate the current condition, and
Whereas, the Borough's Chief Finance Officer has certified
that necessary funds exist in the 1999 Municipal Budget for
this purpose.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that an emergency contract
is hereby awarded to Bailey Refrigeration Co., Inc. in the
amount not to exceed $24,675 for installation of new boiler
and a contract is hereby awarded to Unipro, Inc., in the
amount not to exceed $4,350 for asbestos abatement of
piping.
Adopted this 2nd day of December, 1999
and certified as a true copy of the
oriignal on December 3, 1999.
