Home My Public Portal About08-10-2023 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, THURSDAY AUGUST 1.0, 2023 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER Board Member Palm(i- called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Emily Palmer and Matt Evans. Vicki Robinson was absent. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Monica Young, Ordinance Violations Specialist; Lieutenant Kevin Smith; Emma Stanton, Parks .Department; Sherri Richey, Code Enforcement; Terri Quinter, Roseview Transit; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Evans moved to approve the minutes of August 3, 2023, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for August 4, 2023 in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty Eight Thousand Nine Hundred Fourteen dollars and sixty three cents($258,91.4.63), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for August I 1, 2023 in the amount of One Hundred Twenty One Thousand Two Hundred Forty Five dollars and twelve cents ($121,245.12), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve a correction to the Payroll Claims for Payment for August 2, 2023 in. the amount of Three Hundred Ten dollars (5310.00), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Mr. Evans moved to approve the Payroll Claims for Payment for August 11., 2023 in the amount of Nine Hundred Fifty One Thousand Three Hundred Twenty Five dollars and fourteen cents ($951,325.14), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • STREET CLOSURE Culy Construction is requesting the following road closure for Thursday 8/10/2023 and Friday 8/11/2023 from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am each night. North 8th Street at the north side of North "I)" Street and North"D" Street at North 7'1' Street. North 8'1' Street will be restricted to one lane at North "I)" Street. Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. BID OPENINGS - none BID AWARDS - none CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 149-2023 — RPM MACHINERY To award the contract to RPM Machinery (the only bid) and for the purchase of a 2023 Case Backhoe kr the Richmond Parks Dept. Funds will be used from the LIT Account.' Not to exceed $118,500.00 Mr. Evans moved to approve the bid award and the contract, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CHANGE ORDERS - none Board of Works Minutes August 10, 2023 ADDENDUMS • ADDENDUM NO. 1 to CONTRACT NO. 31-2023 —S & M HOME SOLUTIONS City retains Contractor to perform additional services (cleaning, boarding, sealing) of the premises located at 1714 North"E" Street. Supplemental quote cost is $846.30 Total expense for project not to exceed $1327.70 Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. RESOLUTIONS • RESOLUTION NO. 6-2023 - APPROVING REVISIONS AND POLICY ADDENDUMS To THE SUBSTANCE ABUSE POLICY FOR ROSEVIEW TRANSIT Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer.
