HomeMy Public PortalAbout07-03-2023 (2) PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT JULY 3, 2023 The Board of Directors for Richmond Power & Light Plant met in regular session on July 3, 2023, immediately following the regular meeting of the Richmond Common Council, in the Community Room of the Municipal Building in said City. Vice Chairperson Bumbalough presided. ROLL CALL: Board members present were Lucinda Wright, Bill Engle, Jeff Cappa, Jeffrey Locke, Gary Turner, Jane Bumbalough, Larry Parker and Ron Oler. Absent was Doug Goss. Also present were: Tony Foster, General Manager; Andrew Sickmann, Corporate Council; Karen Chasteen, City Clerk; Sergeant at Arms; and, Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Board Member Locke moved to approve the minutes of the June 5, 2023 meeting, supported by Board Member Turner. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS: Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Board Member Oler moved to approve claims for payments in the amount of Seven Million One Hundred Fifty Thousand One Hundred Eighty One Dollars and seventy four cents ($7,150,181.74), supported by Board Member Locke. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried 8-0. OLD BUSINESS: Open bids for a 2023 Class 7 Digger Derrick for the Line Department. Board Member Oler moved to accept the Proof of Publication, supported by Board. Member Locke. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Bid received: Altec Industries in the amount of$308,115 —Trade In of$18,000. This leaves the total purchase price of$290,115 with a delivery date of the 4" quarter 2026. Board Member Engle moved to refer the bids to the General Manager for due diligence, supported by Board Member Cappa. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. . Several attendees spoke of their experience.
