HomeMy Public PortalAbout09-05-2023 PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT SEPTEMBER 5, 2023 The Board of Directors for Richmond Power & Light Plant met in regular session on September 5, 2023, immediately following the regular meeting of the Richmond Common Council, in the Community Room of the Municipal Building in said City. Chairman Parker presided. ROLL CALL: Board members present were Doug Goss, Lucinda Wright, Bill Engle, Jeff Cappa, Jeffrey Locke, Gary Turner, Jane Bumbalough, and Larry Parker. Absent was Ron Oler. Also present were: Tony Foster, General Manager; Andrew Sickmann, Corporate Council; Karen Chasteen, City Clerk; Justin Burket, Jerry Purcell, Ann Taylor, Ron Itnyre, and, Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Board Member Locke moved to approve the minutes of the July 3, and August 7, 2023 meetings, and the Memorandum of Executive Session of August 7, 2023, supported by Board Member Bumbalough. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS: Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee,Board Member Locke moved to approve claims for payments in the amount of Seven Million Five Hundred Thirty Seven Thousand One Hundred Eight Dollars and eighty two cents ($7,537,108.82), supported by Board Member Gosse. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried 8-0. OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: • Board Member Cappa moved to authorize the General Manager to receive bids on a new2024 compact Extended/Super Cab Pickup Truck for the Engineering Department, supported by Board Member Bumbalough. There will be no trade in. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion car-ried. RP&L--Board of Directors Minutes September 5,2023 Page 2 • Board member Turner moved to approve the ECA Rates for the 4th Quarter of 2023, supported by Board Member Bumbalough. This motion was passed with an 8-0 roll call vote.
