AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH MOTT MACDONALD —
2018 -19 SEWER SYSTEM OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized engineering services with
regard to the 2018 -19 Sewer System Operations and Maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineers, Mott MacDonald, possess the
requisite skill and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, Mott MacDonald has submitted a proposal to provide said engineering
services at a total cost of $4,872.40 per month for 13 months starting 12/1/18; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available

N , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of oroug
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. That the proposal from Mott MacDonald for engineering
services related to the 2018 -19 Sewer System Operations
and Maintenance, in a total of $4,872.40 per months for 13
months starting 12/1/18 billable in accordance with Mott
MacDonald's existing contract with the Borough is hereby
approved.
2. That annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal.
3. That this action is approved as an award of a professional
services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 5(l)(a) in
accordance with the Borough's Fair and Open Process as
authorized by law.
4. That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the
Borough's Purchasing Department, Mott MacDonald and
Borough Director of Engineering.

The Borough of Carteret has awarded a contract without compet-
itive bidding as a Professional Service pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11 -5
(1) (a). This contract and the resolution authorizing it are available
for public inspection in the Office of the Municipal Clerk.
This action is approved as an award of a Professional Services Con-
