ORDINANCE NO. 35-2023
AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE TO BE KNOWN AS
THE SANITARY DISTRICT 2024 SALARY ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-4-7-3 requires the Mayor to fix the compensation of each
appointed officer, deputy and other employee of the city departments, except
police officers and firefighters, prior to November 1 for the ensuing budget
year subject to the approval of Common Council; and
WHEREAS, The compensation fixed herein may not be increased during the budget year
for which it is fixed but may he reduced by the Mayor or Director for each
appointive officer and empoyee (with the exception of 13oard Members);
except by amendment approved by Common Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond Indiana, that the following positions be compensated not in excess of the
respective ranges or sums hereafter set forth during the calendar year 2024, to wit:

3EMPOPRA RyA ND PA R T TIME
In addition to the positions set forth above, the Board of Commissioners of
the Richmond Sanitary District may authorize temporary, part-time or seasonal employees
providod that there are funds in the budget. The Richmond Sanitary Board ofCommissioners
shu)\ set compensation for these employees within the range from $7.25 to $l5.00 per hour.
ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION
In addition to the salaries set forth above (with exception of Board Members)
employees shall be entitled to the sarne fringe beriefits as set forth within the City of Richmond
Personnel Policy o,us siuicd in negotiated contracts.
