HomeMy Public PortalAbout035-2023 - 2024 Sanitation Salaries COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA ORDINANCE NO. 35-2023 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE TO BE KNOWN AS THE SANITARY DISTRICT 2024 SALARY ORDINANCE WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-4-7-3 requires the Mayor to fix the compensation of each appointed officer, deputy and other employee of the city departments, except police officers and firefighters, prior to November 1 for the ensuing budget year subject to the approval of Common Council; and WHEREAS, The compensation fixed herein may not be increased during the budget year for which it is fixed but may he reduced by the Mayor or Director for each appointive officer and empoyee (with the exception of 13oard Members); except by amendment approved by Common Council. The Richmond Sanitary Board ofCommissioners shu)\ set compensation for these employees within the range from $7.25 to $l5.00 per hour.
