MILL PARK INSPECTION

II. MILL PARK
A. PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT - KATHY RAKE
1. Grote concerned with Mill Park Condominiums attitude
2. Schmidt - High concentration of goose droppings at
proposed playground site.
3. Does this fit master plan as far as quiet enjoyment of
parks?
4. Committee asked Rake to come to next meeting with
specific design, cost and standard of equipment.
B. MILL PARK FACILITY INSPECTION
1. Eroding bank on south end of park needs to be supported.
2. Acknowledged small wetland zone on south east edge of park
3. The hedges along the east side of park are getting tall
enough to hinder view of lake - needs to be trimmed down
to approximately four(4) feet high.
4. Chess tables are broken and falling apart.
5. Board walk stain is gone, needs water sealing and
resurfacing
6. Several boards on planter boxes need to be replaced.
7. Grass on ridge in front of restroom is not getting water
and is dying as a result.
8. Flag is in need of being replaced.
9. Shrubs around bathroom look tacky - move bushes closer to
the restroom and replace area with grass to lower
maintenance needs.
10. High number of shrub bushes along east side of park
creates a high maintenance zone. Removal may enhance
parks beauty.
11. Apparent water leak on east side of park - standing water
12. Rock paths with plastic borders on east side of
park are falling apart - need to be removed or repaired.
13. Committee decided playground placement would be more
suited to south east corner of park, replacing dead
grass, shrubs and rock paths.
14. Small point between stair entry way would be an excellent
place for a future restroom/information site.
15. DOCK BUILDING ALONG ENTRANCE PATH
a. inconsistent with park/path way and committee would
like to recommend removal.
16. Gate was unlocked and open.
17. Cement blocks/anchors just south of boat ramps. Where
did they come from and who owns them?
18. Development along east side of East Lake St.. Is their
enough room for angle in parking? Should East Lake St.
be a one way street?
19. City lot with private playground equipment on it will
definitely be able to accommodate head in parking.
20. Committee would like to see some small islands of
vegetation remain along east side of East Lake St.
