HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-07-2023 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, 11)ECEMBER 7, 2023 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street., Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Matt Evans and Dakota Collins. Vicki Robinson and Emily Palmer was absent. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns, Deputy City Clerk; Fire Chief Tim Brown; Greg Stiens, Director of Board of Works and Engineering; Tracey Phillips, Director of Information and Technology; Terri Quinter, Superintendent of Rose View Transit; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Collins moved to approve the minutes of November 30, 2023, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Collins moved to approve The Claims for Payment .for December 8, 2023 in the amount of Three Hundred Twelve Thousand Six Hundred Seventy Four Dollars and five cents(S312,674.05), supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva .voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT - None PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION - None REQUESTS • HANDICAP SIGN RENEWAL 644 South 10th Street Mr. Collins moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. BID OPENINGS - None Board of Works Minutes December 7, 2023 BID AWARDS - None CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 201-2023 —DOUBLE A DETAIL LLC The City retains Contractor to provide quarterly detailing for all apparatus and all staff, fire, and EMS vehicles utilized for the Fire Department for the 2024 calendar year. Not to exceed $21,600.00 Mr. Collins moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 202-2023 — KOORSEN FIRE & SECURITY, INC. The City retains Contractor to furnish and supply services in connection with the immediate extinguisher exchanges to be rotated, the hydrostatic testing SBCA bottles, and the extinguisher inspection and testing at the stations of the Fire Department. Not to exceed $2,198.50 Mr. Collins moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 2(15-2(123 —NATIONAL SIGNAL CORPORATION The City retains Contractor to provide inspection, testing, and repair of railroad crossing protection equipment for the City of Richmond, Indiana for the 2024 calendar year. The City will pay $545.00 per month. Mr. Collins moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 206-2(123 —66 DEGREES The City retains Contractor to provide consulting and professional services in connection with the administrative support and licensing of the Google Workspace Enterprise platform, as currently utilized by the City and overseen by the Information Technology (IT) Department. Contractor shall perform all services and provide all access and licensing described on Contractor's proposal. Not to exceed $50,370.00 per year for each effective year of this Agreement making a three year total $151,110.00. Mr. Collins moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans, Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CHANGE ORDERS - None Board of Works Minutes December 7, 2023 ADDENDUMS • ADDENDUM NO. 1 TO CONTRACT NO. 219-2022 —AMP ELECTRIC INC. The City wishes to continue to retain Contractor to continue to provide services in connection with the as-needed general maintenance and electrical repairs for the Municipal Building of the City for 2024. Mr. Collins moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • ADDENDUM NO. 2 TO CONTRACT NO. 196-2021 — ELITE CLEAN The City wishes to continue to retain Contractor to continue to provide floor cleaning and maintenance services for the City Building for 2024. Mr. Collins moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. RESOLUTIONS • RESOLUTION NO. 9-2023 — COMPREHENSIVE POLICY TO THE SUBSTANCE ABUSE POLICY FOR ROSEVIEW TRANSIT An updated policy titled as the -Drug & Alcohol Testing Policy for the Rose View Transit System has been provided by INDOT to be approved by all Rural Transportation Assistance Program (RTAP) clients, to be effective as of December 7, 2023. Mr. Collins moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PETITIONS - None MISCELLANEOUS - None ADJOURNMENT After a motion was duly made, the meeting was adjourned.
