AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE
BOROUGH OF CARTERET, COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW
JERSEY, APPROPRIATING GRANT FUNDS PROVIDED FROM
THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY FOR THE CARTERET ARTS
CENTER PROJECT FOR THE COST THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH
OF CARTERET IN THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Borough of Carteret, in the County of
Middlesex, New Jersey, hereby authorizes the 2018
Construction, Improvements, Upgrades and Enhancements
of the Carteret Arts Center Project together with all
purposes necessary, incidental or appurtenant
thereto:
SECTION 2. For said improvements or purposes, there
is hereby appropriated the sum of $1,000,000 which
amounts are made available from the State of New
Jersey Special Legislative Grant.
SECTION 3. The Capital Budget of the Borough is
hereby amended to conform with the provisions of this
Ordinance to the extent of any inconsistency
herewith.
SECTION 4. The purposes described in Section 1
herein are not current expenses. These are all
Improvements that the Borough may lawfully undertake
as General Improvements, and no part of the costs
thereof has been or shall be specially assessed on
property specially benefited thereby.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect as
provided by Law.

BOROUGH OF CARTERET, COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW
JERSEY, APPROPRIATING GRANT FUNDS PROVIDED FROM
THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY FOR THE CARTERET ARTS

This ordinance appropriates $1,000,000 available from the State of
New Jersey Special Legislative Grant for Upgrades and Enhance-
ments of the Carteret Arts Center Project.
The foregoing ordinance was introduced at a meeting of the
Council of the Borough of Carteret held October 18, 2018 when it
was adopted on first reading.
The said ordinance will be further considered on second reading
for final adoption at a meeting of said Council of the Borough of
Carteret on November 8, 2018 at approximately 6:00 P.M., Borough
Hall /Council Chambers, 61 Cooke Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey at
which time and place all persons interested will be given an oppor-
tunity to be heard.
