HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-14-2023 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, DECEMBER 14, 2023 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Emily Palmer and Matt Evans. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns, Deputy City Clerk; Imani Murphy, Directnr of Human Resources and Compliance; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms. Palmer moved to approve the minutes of December 7, 2023, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for December 15, 2023 in the amount of One Million Two Hundred Forty Three Thousand Six Hundred Seventy Nine Dollars and nineteen cents ($1,243,679.19), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Payroll Claims for Payment for December 15, 2023 in the amount of Seven Hundred Ninety Four Thousand Three Hundred Eighty Two Dollars and seventy cents ($794,382.77), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Mr. Evans moved to wprove a Special Payroll Claims for Payment for December 11, 2023 in the amount of Three Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty Dollars and sixty seven cents ($3,960.67), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION - None REQUESTS - None BID OPENINGS - ne BID AWARDS - None Board of Works Minutes December14, 2023 CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 208-2023 — JOHN HENNIGAR LODGE #63 FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE Both parties have agreed to a two-year contract. A summary of charges are as follows: 1. Dates have been updated throughout the agreement 2. ARTICLE 16- Increase wages of 1.5% non-compound annually, totaling 3% over 3 years. Pension calculations examples also updated with new wage information. (Article 34). 3. ARTICLE 21-Lateral transfers receive equivalent vacation days based on years of service up to 5 years 4. ARTICLE 23-Birthday, anniversary date, personal and bonus days are included in der one article, now named "Contract Days". Other articles in which -personal days" are mentioned were also updated. Ms. Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried.
