Home My Public Portal About055-2023 - Budget Amendment for 2024 Salary Ordinance HR etc COMMON COUNCIL OF THE (TIN OF RICHMOND,.INDIANA ORDINANCE NO. 55-2023 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 33-2023 KNOWN AS THE 2024 (CIVILIAN) SALARY ORDINANCE WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-4-7-3 requires the Mayor to fix the compensation of each appointed officer, deputy and other employee of the city departments, except. police officers and firefighters, prior to November 1 for the ensuing budget year subject to the approval of Common Council; and WHEREAS, Said statute allows the City Clerk to .fix the compensation of the deputies and employees of the Clerk's office prior to November I. .for the ensuing budget year subject to the approval of Common Council; and WHEREAS, The compensation fixed herein may not be increased during the budget year for which it is fixed but may be reduced by the Mayor for each appointive officer, deputy and other empoyee of the city departments set forth herein or by the City Clerk for employees of the Clerk's office; except by amendment approved by Common Council; WHEREAS, Common Council has previously adopted Ordinance 33-2023 to establish salaries for the year 2024 and now finds it necessary to amend the number of social worker positions within the Fire Department, to adjust the corresponding salary of relevant administrative police positions, to correct inadvertent omissions in the Resources and the Building Maintenance positions, and to remove the unbudgeted position in the Parks Department. NOW, TEIEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond Indiana, following positions be compensated not in excess of the respective ranges or sums .hereaftur set forth during the calendar year 2024., to wit: 2024 Annual Salary Range Minimum Maximum.
