AWARDING BID FOR
2019 SNOW PLOWING & REMOVAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Borough has publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for the 2019
Snow Plowing & Removal Services within the Borough of Carteret; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received one (1) bid proposal for the 2019
Snow Plowing & Removal Services as follows:

WHEREAS, S. Brothers, Inc. has submitted the lowest bid for said contract as evidenced
by the response on file with the Borough Purchasing Department and with the Borough
Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposal and has
recommended the award of a contract to S. Brothers, Inc. in an amount not to exceed
$75,000.00; and the Borough reserves the option to extend the contract for an additional
twelve (12) month period; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that the funds are or will be
available for said purpose. Account # T 15 820 -201 / 9 -01 -26- 290 -249
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret as follows:
L That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a
contract with S. Brothers, Inc., of South River, N.J. for snow plowing and
removal services as described above in an amount not to exceed $75,000.00 in
accordance with all respects with the request for proposals and bid on same.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough Purchasing
Department, the Borough Engineer and S. Brothers, Inc.
3. That the aforementioned award of bid is contingent upon formal approval from
the New Jersey Department Labor, Division of Wage and Hour compliance.
