Home My Public Portal About012-2024 - Blanket Ordinance - various entities COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICFIMOND, INDIANA ORDINANCE NO. 12-2024 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF GRANTS FROM VARIOUS SOURCES WHEREAS, In accordance with Indiana Code (IC) 36-1-4-10, a municipality may execute any documents necessary to receive money from the state or federal government or any other source, and said documents are prepared and executed by the City executive administration, provided that the Common Council of the City of Richmond as the legislative body of the City approves an ordinance for the appropriation of any monies received in accordance with IC 36-4-6-1.8; and WHEREAS, The City of Richmond through its Parks Department administration ("Parks Department") is aware of numerous grant application opportunities available during the 2024 calendar year from various sources where the respective grant programs (a) do not require local fund matches out of the City's budget; or (b) only require matches that are labor "in kind" matches; and WHEREAS, The Parks Department wishes to apply for said grants in order to take advantage of each respective grant opportunity and meet any recurring deadlines in a timely manner NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that in accordance with Indiana Code (IC) 36-4-6-18, the Common Council approves the appropriation of any monies received during the 2024 calendar year from the following grant sources in the event the Parks Department applies for said funds in accordance with IC 36-1-4-10 and where said grant programs (a) do not require any local fund matches out of the City's budget; or (b) only require matches that are labor "in-kind" matches: AARP American Water Environmental Ackerman Foundation Americorp Seniors ADA. - Indiaoa's Coros Community Arbor Day Foundation (Bank of America) Grant Program Association for Butterflies Aetna Foundation Audubon Society Aim High Ball Brothers Foundation American Academy of Dermatology Baseball Tomorrow Fund. :Page 1 of 5 Bee and Butterfly Habitat Fund Fund for Wild Nature, The Ben and Jerry Foundation Game Time Better Bike Share Partnership (BBSP) Gannett Foundation Blue Buffalo Hometown Grant/General Georgia Pacific Mills Foundation Good Sports Blumberg Philanthropies Great American Rail Trail Borman Foundation Hamburger Helper Bridgestone/Firestone Trust Fund Healthy Out of School Time Center for Disease Control and Hearst Foundations Prevention Historic Preservation Commission Central Indiana Bicycling Association Indiana Arts Commission (CIBA) Indiana Criminal Justice Institute Central Indiana'Community Foundation Indiana Destination Development Corp.
