The regular meeting of Town Council was held today at 4:00 p.m. and was attended by the Mayor, who presided and Councilmen Walthour, Logan and Horovitz and Town Attorney McIntyre. 410 Petition from Mr. Patrick J. Buttimer requesting a refund of all or part of the fine assesed- against him, was read on motion Mr. Walthour for the fine be refunded in full, seconded by Mr. Horovitz motion passed. The regular meeting of Town Council was held to-day at 4:00 p.m. and was attended by the Mayor, who presided and Council- men Espy, Horovitz, Walthour, and Logan and Town Attorney McIntyre. The Mayor suggested that inasmuch as the Tire Covers used in advertising during the 1929 season proved so popular he thought it ak would be a good idea to follow the same plan for the 1930 season Council was of the opinion that this should be done, the Mayor was instructed to purchase new Tire Covers as he paw fit. A., letter, was read from the Comptroller- General of the State of Georgia showing the returns,made: by the Tybee Water Woks Company for the years of 1928 and 1929,inwhi °chthere appeared to be discrepancy in the amount shown over the two years. Council read over the list of names submitted by the contest- ants for the new name of the Strand, and after carefully going over those names submitted, decided, on motion of Mr. Waithour, seconded by Mr. Logan, and passed, that the name. of "OCEAN PARKWAY" be selected, this name was submitted by Miss Tessie Getz of Savannah, Georgia, and Mrs. Wilton Hogges of Statesboro, Georgia. The Mayor was instructed to devide the prize between the two parties. There being no further business Council adjourned subject to the call of the Mayor. erk of Council. Mayor.
