That the Borough of Carteret hereby opposes Senate Bill S -1261 and the protocols for residential construction in Bill S 1261 which attempts to impose burdensome and unreasonable fire safety regulations on any residential construction of three or more units and will negatively impact the State's ability to provide housing for our most vulnerable population and add to New Jersey's unaffordability. 2. That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the New Jersey League of Municipalities, Senator Paul A. Sarlo, Senator Brian P. Stack, Senator Joseph Vitale, Assemblyman Craig Coughlin and Congressman Frank Pallone. Adopted this 6 day of December, 2018 and certified as a true copy of the original on December 7, 2018.
