ANNOUNCEMENTS RFP is approved. Courtney Reich and Ed Tommaso join as in house planners for CRS application, due on January 16, 2014 REPORTS AND DISCUSSIONS Ron mentions that the carrying capacity study doesn’t address parking and zoning is overridden by short term rentals-large group usage. Freda points out that assumptions about water/sewage use are outdated and with a longer tourist season is a higher yearly occupancy. Courtney suggests that peak population is the time to be measured because we must be able to accommodate at those times. Paul says George can pull data. Kathryn suggests parking singled out. Include water sewer limits, parking future needs, waste water, roadway capacity. Kathryn suggests adding a solid waste plan. Paul recommends new permits require septic upgrades, overall low flow. Kathryn suggests to have gallons used on water bill for information purposes. Frank suggests including the planning commission. Diane recommends that it be a deliverable model for other communities and to add an appendix to outline the process. Paul gives update on Solarize project. Once installer is selected out of the city’s hands. Pre-bid meeting 12/23/2014 at City Hall, 1pm. Diane informs that the single use plastic bag ordinance is still under review by the city attorney as well as threats being made by outside interest lobbyist groups. Kathryn suggests make a formal Memorial Park energy report up to the end of the year to give to council. Paul suggests to propose to follow through with solar at the Y/gym, city buildings and public safety building. Recommend commissioning a professional to retrofit and make a report of recommendations. NEW BUSINESS Create a packet that includes all efficiency strategies to include in the CRS. Discuss via emails. ADJOURN Meeting adjourned at 5:45pm
