1. CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Sternquist called the City Council Special Meeting to order at 3:41 p.m. in
the City Council Chambers, 5938 Kauffman Avenue, Temple City.

PRESENT: Councilmember- Chavez, Vizcarra, Yu, Blum, Sternquist
ABSENT: Councilmember- None
ALSO PRESENT: Deputy City Clerk Bonus
INTERVIEWS FOR THE CITY COMMISSIONS
The City Council conducted interviews with six applicants recommended by the
Commission Application Review Ad Hoc Committee (i.e. Councilmember Chavez
and Councilmember Vizcarra). City Council will make appointments to fill three
seats each on the Planning, Parks & Recreation and Public Safety Commission.
Each seat serves a two year term beginning July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2015.
RECESS/RECONVENE
The City Council meeting was recessed at 5:20 p.m. and reconvened at 6:35 p.m.
with all Councilmembers present.
At the conclusion of the interviews, City Council deliberated and concurred to
appoint: John Cordes, Patrick Horton and Albert Leung to the Planning
Commission; Jim Clift, Serge Haddad and Nicholas Stratis to the Public Safety
Commission; and Nanette Fish, Robert Lopez and Joanne Rosso to the Parks and
Recreation Commission.
All those appointed by City Council tonight will be formally approved by resolution
and sworn into office at the next City Council meeting of June 18, 2013.
