It’s a place to do business: to buy, to sell, to shop, to make loans, to pay bills. Downtown is a place where a person can buy a greeting card or a house.

Note these directional signs in Madison. All of these are employers…..maybe individually they aren’t large employers, but they add up quickly.

Clean and safe……you’re walking on sidewalks that are kept clean and you don’t have to fear for your safety
while you’re walking.
Historic…….look around and you see plenty of marvelous old structures built by past generations.
