HomeMy Public PortalAbout03-28-2024 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, MARCH 28, 2024 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 50 North 5'1' Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER Member Evans called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Matt Evans and Jamie Lopeman. Emily Palmer was absent. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns, Deputy City Clerk; Beth Fields, Community Development Coordinator; Sharry Hemmingway, Payroll and Benefits Administrator; Police Chief Kyle Weatherly; Councilor Anne Taylor; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Lopeman moved to approve the minutes of March 21, 2024, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Lopeman moved to approve the Claims for Payment for March 28, 2024 in the amount of Twenty Three Thousand Eight Hundred One Dollars and eighty one cents ($23,801.81), supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Lopeman moved to approve a special Payroll Claims for Payment for March 27,2023 for Fire Clothing Stipend in the amount of Seven Hundred Dollars and no cents ($700.00), supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION Mr. Lopeman moved to approve the Payroll Claims for Payment for Pension for March 28, 2024 in the amount of Two Hundred Sixty Four Thousand Five Hundred Fourteen Dollars and thirty four cents ($264,514.34), supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 44-2024 —LYONS INSURANCE & REAL ESTATE INC. Board of Works Minutes March 28,2024 The City retains Contractor to provide professional appraisal services in connection with various residential and commercial real estate properties the City may plan to acquire, which professional services shall include preparation of the appraisals and narrative reports for the specific properties to be requested as determined by the Department of Infrastructure and Development for the 2024 calendar year. Contractor shall submit cost proposals to the Director of the Division of Strategic Initiatives for each individual appraisal to be ordered by the City. Each cost proposal shall reflect the proposed amount payable to Contractor for said appraisal services to be performed for a given specified individual property based on the type and scope of each individual appraisal requested. Not to exceed $10,000.00 Mr. Lopeman moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Board of Works Minutes March 28, 2024 ADDENDUMS • ADDENDUM NO. 2 TO CONTRACT NO. 91-2022 — RINEHART LAWN CARE & LANDSCAPING The City wishes to continue to retain Contractor to continue to provide services in connection with weed abatement as set forth within the scope of the original contract for the year of 2024. Mr. Lopeman moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. ADDENDUM NO. 5 TO CONTRACT NO. 31-2018 — GEORGE'S FAMILY PHARMACY, INC. The City wishes to continue to retain Contractor to provide services to be the Durable Medical Equipment ("DME") contract provider for the City of Richmond, as set forth within the scope of Contract No. 31-2018. Mr. Lopeman moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. ADJOURNMENT After a motion was duly made, the meeting was adjourned.
