AWARDING BID FOR
2019 CLEANING SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Borough has publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for the 2019
Cleaning Services for the seven (7) Municipal Buildings; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received five (5) bid proposals for the 2019
Cleaning Services as follows:
Total Bid
1. PJ Cleaning, LLC $ 41,380.00
2. Quality Facility Solutions $ 99,851.04
3. Pure Productive Services $ 68.450.00
4. One Total Cleaning Services $ 46,899.70
5. Best Building Maintenance Corp. $ 63,010.00
WHEREAS, PJ Cleaning, LLC has submitted the lowest bid for said contract as
evidenced by the response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and with
the Borough Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has
recommended the award of a contract to PJ Cleaning, LLC, in a total amount not to
exceed $41,380.00, per attached award letter; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
forsaidpurpose. A cct. # 9-01-20-150-299
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to
enter into a contract with PJ Cleaning, LLC, of Upper Saddle
River, N.J. for cleaning services as described above for the sum of
$41,380.00 in accordance in all respects with the request for
proposals and bid on same.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department, Borough Engineer and Building
Maintenance Supervisor.
3. That the aforementioned award of bid is contingent upon formal
approval from the New Jersey Department of Labor, Division of
Wage and Hour Compliance.
