A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR ANIMAL
SHELTER SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City Council granted the Parking Enforcement Division of the
Public Relations Department full authority..to administer and operate animal control
services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood currently contracts with Los Angeles County
Animal Control for kennel services and animal abuse cases; and
WHEREAS, staff is requesting that the City Council authorize the issuance of a
RFP for Animal Shelter Services to ensure that the City is receiving the best price for
the required contracted services.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes staff to issue a RFP for Animal
Shelter Services.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. That the City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this
Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of January, 2015.
