A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER TO BEN'S ASPHALT IN
THE AMOUNT NOT -TO- EXCEED $18,995 FOR ASPHALT REPAIRS TO INSTALL
TRAFFIC LOOPS
WHEREAS, staff has determined that 33 traffic signal loops are damaged and
need to be replaced in order to improve traffic flow; and
WHEREAS, to install new traffic signal loops, the asphalt pavement needs to be
repaired at two locations; and
WHEREAS, staff has obtained quotes for asphalt repairs and the lowest quote is
for Ben's Asphalt in the amount of $18,995; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Trench Cut Repair Project, Project No.
4011.67.917.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes staff to issue a purchase order to
Ben's Asphalt for asphalt pavement repairs in the amount - not -to exceed $18,995.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of January, 2015.
