A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, DECLARING AS
SURPLUS 14 LG LCD TELEVISIONS WITH 14 PEERLEES
LCD PEDESTAL STANDS OWNED BY THE VILLAGE AND
AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO PROVIDE
FOR THE SALE OR DISPOSITION OF SUCH SURPLUS
PROPERTY, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the 14 televisions and stands located in the Community Center's Wellness
Facility were replaced in December 2006 and are now obsolete and no longer needed by the Village
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS
Section 1 Recital Adopted That the recital stated above is hereby adopted and confirmed
Section 2 Surplus Property That the 14 televisions and stands, which are owned by the
Village, have become obsolete, has outlived its usefulness, has become inadequate for the public
purposes for which it was intended, and is no longer needed for public purposes, and accordingly is
hereby declared by the Village Council to be surplus personal property of the Village
Section 3 Disposal Authorized That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to sell or
dispose of the televisions and stands by negotiated sale, public advertisement, public auction or by
other procedure established by the Village Manager The televisions and stands shall be sold in "as
is" condition, with no warranty of fitness or operability The proceeds of the sale shall be credited
to the General Fund of the Village
Section 4 Implementation That the Village Manager is authorized to take any and all
action necessary to implement this Resolution and the purposes hereof
Section 5 Effective Date That this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
adoption
