Re: GS #1148 (669)
Provide a copy of all Public Records which contain the name Orthwein from 111114 through
2128114. (Revised 7123114, to "exclude all Public Records which are on the section of the website
titled "Agendas /Minutes')
Dear Stopdirtygovernment, LLC [mail to:records @commerce - group.com],
The Town of Gulf Stream received your amended public records request on July 23, 2014. If
your request was received in writing, then the first page of that request is attached to this cover
letter. If your request was verbal, then the description of your public records request is set forth
in the italics above. In future correspondence, please refer to this public records request by the
above referenced number.
The Town may incur expenses for the production of documents. You are responsible for the
costs of duplication, as allowed by Chapter 119, Florida Statutes, and you may also incur a
special service charge for the labor needed to respond to this request.
To produce the documents that you have requested, the Town of Gulf Stream estimates the need
for 1 hour of administrative support at $39.23 per hour, the labor cost of the personnel providing
the service, per Fla. Stat. § 119.07(4)(d). If the costs of producing these documents will exceed
your deposit, the Town will provide you with an initial production of responsive records and an
estimate for the production of any additional responsive records. If the costs of production are
less than the deposit, the Town will provide you with the responsive records and a refund. If you
would like to narrow the scope of your request, for example, by identifying a particular
document type or date range, the Town may be able to provide these records at a lower cost.
Please clarify who the other entities you are referring to may be, so that we may efficiently
produce the responsive documents you are requesting. Please note that upon further review from
the last deposit letter on July 23, 2014, we realized that we had underestimated our quote.
(1 hours @ 39.23 = 39.23) - (.25 hour @ 39.23= 9.81) = Deposit Due: $29.42 in cash or
check.
The Town of Gulf Stream is currently working on a large number of incoming public records
requests. Upon receipt of your deposit, the Town will use its very best efforts to further respond
to your public records request in a reasonable amount of time.
Sincerely, Town Clerk

Re: PRR #669
Dear Ms. Taylor:
This will acknowledge receipt of your letter of July 23, 2014 to
STOPDIRTYGOVERNMENT, LLC (the "669 Letter'). I attach a copy of that
letter is attached for convenience.
Recited in the 669 Letter is the Request that was made by
STOPDIRTYGOVERNMENT, LLC in its Request #6691.
In connection with the 669 Letter, we noticed that you are asking for a deposit of
$19.62 to be applied to production of the records. Could you kindly advise us of
the following: (a) What hourly rate will be charged; and (b) Your estimate of the
costs of the Records?
We would also like to amend the Request to exclude all Public Records which are
on the section of the website titled "Agendas/ Minutes".
1 We have not done a comparison, to the extent that there is any difference, the actual Request of
STOPDIRTYGOVERNMENT, LLC #669 shall prevail.

Further, it appears that the $19.62 which you are requesting is a special service
charge. Do you really think that it will take 45 minutes to fulfill this Request? I
am assuming (when I say 45 minutes), 65 is not charging for the first 15 minutes.
Please let me know if I am incorrect in this regard.
Lastly, I am unclear as to what you expect the total charge to be to fulfill this
Request. Could you provide me with that information and your basis in
calculating same?
As always, I thank you for your kind cooperation.
Sincerely yours,
STOPDIRTYGOVERNMENT, LLC
