After said reading there followed a discussion concerning provisions of the Ordinance. Councilman Huisman moved the 2d and 3d readings of th the Ordinance be waived. Seconded by Heinrich. Roll call of votes --Ayes: Hippen, Van Deest, Huisman, Fairbanks, and Heinrich. Nays: None Absent: None The Mayor thereupon declared the Ordinance adopted and directed the clerk to publish the same according to law. The clerk was directed to submit the tentative street construction. program for January 1, 1974, to the Iowa Highway Commission. On a motion by Hippen, 2d by Huisman, no construction program for said dates was planned. Carried. A cigarette permit for Terry's was approved on a motion by Fair- banks, 2d by Heinrich. Carried. Renewal of the beer permit for Kru11's Skelly Service was approved on a motion by Huisman, seconded by Fairbanks. Carried. The meeting was adjourned on a motion by Huisman, seconded by Hippen. M r Clerk The Wellsburg Town Council met in special session on November 26, 1973, with Mayor Eckhoff presiding and all councilmen present. There being no objections to the proposed amended budget as pub- lished, it was moved by Hippen, 2d by Van Deest to adopt amended budget. Roll call of votes --Ayes: Hippen, Van Deest, Huisman, Fairbanks, Heinrich. Nays: None Absent: None Carried Moved by Van Deest, 2d by Fairbanks to adopt the resolution to apply for permanent transfer of $10,000 from the Utility Fund to Street Fund and 9��5,000 from Sewer Rental Fund to Street Fund so as to com- plete payment of 1973 Curb and Gutter Program. Roll call of votes --Ayes: Hippen, Van Deest, Huisman, Fairbanks, Heinrich. Nays: None Absent: None Carried. Nays: None Carried Fairbanks moved, Van Deest 2nd selling two trees on town lot along finery Street for $200 with money received to be used for trees and shrubbery at the swimming pool site. Carried. Heinrich moved, Hippen 2nd a directive for the clerk to order new town maps from the city engineer. Carried. Huisman moved, Heinrich seconded adjournment. It was moved by Heinrich, 2nd by Van Deest to accept final bill on curb and gutter project in the amount of $22,329.92 payable to Winmor Construction Co. of Waterloo. Carried. Hippen moved, Huisman 2nd the acceptance of the written proposal from Grundy County concerning construction and maintenance for Fourth Street and North Washington in the Twon of Wellsburg. Carried.
