RESOLUTION NO. 97-14
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE
REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 93-75 AND ESTABLISHING THE PARKING BAIL
SCHEDULE (MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 10.18) INCLUDING AN
ADMINISTRATIVE FEE AND LATE PAYMENT PENALTIES
WHEREAS, State law provides, in Vehicle Code Section 40203.5, that cities establish the
amount of parking fines; and
WHEREAS, State law authorizes the Town to recover administrative fees, process service
fees, fees and collection costs related to civil debt collection, late payment penalties and other related
charges; and
WHEREAS, State law requires the Town to include penalties imposed by the County of
Nevada for jail and courthouse construction, in accordance with Government Code Sections 76000
and 76101; and
WHEREAS, the Town established parking penalties for parking violations by Resolution
93-75 on July 1, 1993;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TRUCKEE, repeals Resolution No. 93-75 and establishes a revised Parking Bail
Schedule, including late payment penalties and administrative fees as set forth in Exhibit "A",
attached hereto and incorporated herein.
The foregoing Resolution was introduced at a Regular Meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Truckee, held on the 3rd day of July, 1997, by Councilmember McCormack who moved its
adoption, which motion being duly seconded by Councilmember Florian was upon roll call carried
and the Resolution adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Carpenter, Florian, McCormack, Susman & Mayor Drake
