RESOLUTION NO. 2015.032
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD- APPROVING
THE CO- SPONSORED "MY LYNWOOD" HEALTHY CITIES 5K -10K RUNIWALK
AND WAIVE THE $569 SPECIAL PERMT FEE
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood continues to create events that involve the
entire community, including the Sheriff and Fire Departments; and
WHEREAS, the City is encouraging everyone to get healthy through its "Healthy
Cities Initiative "; and
WHEREAS, this event will benefit the entire community as well as the Sheriff's
Department "Baker to Vegas" Running Team and the Greater Lynwood Chamber of
Commerce; and
WHEREAS, this year in addition to the 5K/10K, we will be hosting a Health Fair
and Food Truck Fair as a part of the festivities; and
WHEREAS, as this is a City co- sponsored event, the $569 Special Permit Fee
shall be waived.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council finds that the request for waiving the Special
Permit Fee benefits the community and finds the above recitals true and correct.
Section 2. The City of Lynwood approves and supports the co- sponsorship of
the "My Lynwood" Healthy Cities RunNValk.
Section 3. The City Council approves waiving the $569 Special Permit Fee for
this event.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify the passage and adoption of this
Resolution.
