A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, DECLARING AS
SURPLUS A CERTAIN MOTOR VEHICLE OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, AND AUTHORIZING THE
VILLAGE MANAGER TO PROVIDE FOR THE SALE OR
DISPOSITION OF SUCH SURPLUS PROPERTY;
PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the purchase of a new vehicle has enabled the Village to be in a position to
dispose of one (1) surplus motor vehicle, as provided herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recital Adopted. That the recital stated above is hereby adopted and
confirmed.
Section 2. Surplus Property. That the item of personal property (to -wit: one (1) motor
vehicle) owned by the Village which is listed on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated
herein, has become obsolete, has outlived its usefulness, has become inadequate for the public
purposes for which it was intended, or is no longer needed for public purposes, and accordingly is
hereby declared by the Village Council to be surplus personal property of the Village.
Section 3. Disposal Authorized. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to sell
or dispose of the item of surplus property, as described in Section 2 above, by public auction or by
other procedure determined by the Village Manager.
Section 4. Implementation. That the Village Manager is authorized to take any and all
action necessary to implement this Resolution and the purposes hereof.
Section 5. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
adoption hereof.
