The regular meeting of Conncil was held to -day at 4 :00 p.m. and was attended by the Mayor,who presided, and Councilmen Logan, Cann and Horovitz and Town Attorney McIntyre. Another petition was received from the Griffin Realty and Construe - ticDn Co., relative to the assessments on the Ocean View Hotel prop - erty,but no action was taken in the matter. The Mayor informed Council that the Trades and Labor Assemble had requested the T wn to take an ad in their annual programme and that he had taken a half -page ad at a cost of <40.0O, he had also donated 25.00 toward defraying the expenses of the Charity Ball of the Freash Air Home. Comparing the road collection account incmme for June 1929 against June 1930, June 1929 is behind June 1930, but July 1930 is approx- imately 400.00 ahead of July 1929. The Mayor asked for authority to give a note to A.S.Bacon & Sons for lumber f?rnished for the boardwalk and on motion of Mr. Horovitz that the a' note ,:for 1614.00 plus interest be given A.S.Bacon & Sons,sec- onded by Mr. Cann, the motion passed unanamously; RESOLUTION. RESOLVED by the Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah Beach, Tybee Ty1and,Ga., in regular meeting assembled, that Henry M.Buckley, as Treasurer of Savannah Beach,Tybee Island,Ga., be authorized and directed to make and delive to A.S.Bacon & Sons a note in the name of Savannah Beach,Tybee Island,Ga., in the sum of 1614.00 dated August 9th,1930, and due sixty days after date and bearing interest at the rate of 7 per cent from date and containing a provision to pay attorneys fees in the event of default; said note represent - ine- tpiedideration money due the said A.S.Bacon ' °: Sons under the terms and provisions of the certain agreement made on July 14th, 1930, between Savannah Beah,Tybee Island,Ga., and A.S.Bacon & Sons it appearing that the said A.S.Bacon & Sons has complied with its contract as contained in said agreement and is now entitled to hatte`..and receive the above described note, as provided by said agreement.
