AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF 911 COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
FOR CARTERET POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11 -12a and N.J.A.C.
5:34- 7.29(c), may by resolution and without advertising for bids, purchase any goods or
services under the State of New Jersey Cooperative Purchasing Program for any State
contracts entered into on behalf of the State by the Division of Purchase and Property in
the Department of the Treasury; and
WHEREAS. the Borough of Carteret has the need to purchase 911 Communication
System for the Police Department utilizing the New Jersey State Cooperative Purchasing
Program, from Johnston Communications Voice and Data T- 0109/83925 in the amount
of $150,038.89; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has determined that sufficient funds are
available and a purchase order will be processed with account C- 04 -99- 999 -217
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Borough of Carteret authorizes the
purchase of Communication System for the Police Department from Johnston
Communications Voice and Date award T- 0109/83925, in the amount of $150,038.89.
