AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 89-02, 89-03, AND 90-03 RELATING TO
FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MOAB CITY, STATE OF UTAH:
"The Flood Insurance Study for the Moab City Corporation,"
dated December, 1979 with an accompanying Flood Insurance Rate Map
(FIRM) is hereby adopted by reference and declared to be a part of
this ordinance.
The Moab Zoning Administrator is hereby appointed to be the
local administer and implement ordinances 89-02, 89-03, and 90-03,
Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance.
The Moab Board of Adjustments shall be designated to be the
appeal board for ordinances 89-02, 89-03, and 90-03, Flood Damage
Prevention Ordinance.
A penalty shall be added to ordinances 89-02, 98-03, and 90-
03. All violations of this Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance are
classified as Class B Misdemeanors, punishable by a fine not to
exceed $1000.00, or imprisonment in the county jail for a period
not to exceed 6 months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Each day of violation or non-compliance shall constitute a separate
offense and may be prosecuted accordingly.
This ordinance approved and adopted this 7th day of April
1992, by the City Council of the City of Moab and becomes effective
upon publication.
