The regular meeting of Council was held today at 4:00 p.m. and was attended by the Mayor, who presided, and by Councilmen Farr, Horovitz, and Cann, and Town Attorney McIntyre. The Mayor informed Council that he had gotten another letter from . P. Maggioni and Company requesting pay for the oyster shells purchased by us from them. Mr. E. A. Galletta petitioned that he be reimbursed for a septic tank removed from his property several months ago - - -it developed that this tank was removed from Mr. Galletta's property by W. C. Goodman, the Chief eft,. of the Convict Camp at Tybee. Since several complaints had been made about the removal of septic tanks, trees, etc, from private property on the Island, the Mayor was instructed to write a letter to Mr. Goodman informing him that this pratice must cease and also a letter to the Chief of Police in- structing him to prohibit anyone from removing anything from private property.
