Think you for the Allied Ri~k workers comw-~adon lo~ea. I sear them our ro market and
should, have a few quotes for you tomorrow afternoon. Losses again look very good~l
As r~or the quotes you received from Gartlattd, the fully-insured quote at $335 348 (not inelufli, =
workers comp.) only often a $5,000,000 limit of liabltky and has a $5,00~ .dest. ~ctible on th~
Pub.Iic CffJlcial~ ]policy. IT also does llot tell you what the property deducnble m or who is the
carrier. Theses are rh;,~ you need go know!
AS {or the self-insured quote, the premium anlmmt of $212,000 (not induding workers comp) i,
qo: bad but again it only offers a $5,000,000 limit o~liabilit7. Also, your average yearly los~s for
::.e past 4 years have been $142,094. Excluding the $324,515 loss in 1998 the average comes
clown to $60,965. $212,000 + $60,965 = $272,965, However, realistically you should fund
somewhere between $I42,094 and $60~965 or $100,000. $212,000 + $100,000 - $312,000.
Ei~xer way, the $285,000 fully-Nmred quote from the Middle_~x CotmtyJIF is your best opdonI
Ju~r wanted to show you a comparison. Hope ir hdl~t.
i~i b~ in touch with you tomorrow (FHday) morning. If you tell me to go ahead with the JIF

Patrick, both options assume the Borough
(or provision within the' fully fund~ the loss fund with a dedicated line item
tmuranee ar~s of the budget) which is how we recommend you do it,
al~tough other cbent~ have chosen not to, and mn the risk of having to find fund~ to meet

Our recommendation is option 2), and I will disclose here that I own 60o/0 of DCM, but am not
