Mayor. 147 The regular meeting of Council was called for today at 4:00 p.m. but was not held as there was no quorum present. k of Council. Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, Ga., December 5, 1930. Mayor. The regular meeting of Council was held today at 4:00 p.m. and was attended by the Mayor, who presided, and by Councilmen Farr, Horovitz, and Cann, and Town Attorney McIntyre. The Mayor informed Council that he had gotten another letter from . P. Maggioni and Company requesting pay for the oyster shells purchased by us from them. Mr. E. A. Galletta petitioned that he be reimbursed for a septic tank removed from his property several months ago - - -it developed that this tank was removed from Mr. Galletta's property by W. C. Goodman, the Chief eft,. of the Convict Camp at Tybee. Since several complaints had been made about the removal of septic tanks, trees, etc, from private property on the Island, the Mayor was instructed to write a letter to Mr. Goodman informing him that this pratice must cease and also a letter to the Chief of Police in- structing him to prohibit anyone from removing anything from private property. 148 The Mgyor informed. Council that as it was necessary to meet the casual deficiency in revenue now existing, that it would be necessary for the Town to borrow $3,000.00 to be paid not later than May 15th, 1931, and on motion by Mr. Horovitz that the following resolution be passed, seconded by Mr. Cann, the motion carried unanimously. RESOLUTION. • "RESOLVED that the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed for the purpos of supplying a casual deficiency in re- venue now existing, to borrow from such bank or banks of the City of Savannah as may be selected by him, the sum of Three Thousand Dollaws 43,000.001 for such time and on such terms as the Mayor shall agree upon and to evidence said loan by executing in the name of and on behalf of the Mayor and Council of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island., a note or notes not exceeding in the aggregate the principal sum of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) and that said note or notes shall be exe- cuted under the official seal of the Mayor and Council of Savannah Beach Tybee, attested by the Clerk of Council, and that the said Mayor be fur- ther authorized upon the maturity of said note or notes to renew the same, in whole or in part, upon such terms as he may agree upon and to continue such renewal or renewals until said indebtedness be wholly dis- charged. Said renewals to be evidenced by notes of the said municipal 0 copporation executed by the Mayor and under the seal of said corpora- tion." There being no further business Council adjourned subject to the call of the Mayor. Mayor.
