ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET, IN THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, ADOPTING REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE HILLTOP II REDEVELOPMENT AREA WHEREAS, on March 21, 2019, the Borough Council (the "Borough Council ") of the Boroug of Carteret (the "Borough "), following the recommendation of the Borough Planning Board (th "Planning Board "), adopted a Resolution designating the properties identified as Block 5801, Lc 1, Block 5802, Lots 10, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 & 30, and Block 6411, Lots 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 o the tax map of the Borough (collectively, the "Hilltop II Redevelopment Area ") as an "area i need of redevelopment" under the Local Redevelopment and Housing Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:12A- et seq. (the "Redevelopment Law "); and WHEREAS, the Planning Board reviewed a proposed redevelopment plan for the Hilltop Redevelopment Area, prepared by Beacon Planning and Consulting Services, LLC and dal December 2018 (the "Hilltop II Redevelopment Plan"); and WHEREAS, the Planning Board found and concluded that the Hilltop II Redevelopment Plan i not inconsistent with the Borough's Master Plan or the Master Plans of Woodbridge, Rahway o Linden, the Middlesex County Master Plan or the State Development and Redevelopment Plan and it adopted a resolution memorializing such findings and recommending adoption of th, Hilltop II Redevelopment Plan; and WHEREAS, the Borough Council agrees with the findings of the Planning Board and finds tl the Hilltop II Redevelopment Plan will serve the best interests of the Borough and now desires adopt same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough Carteret as follows: 1. The aforementioned recitals are incorporated herein as though fully set forth length. 2. The Hilltop II Redevelopment Plan, a copy of which is on file with the Borou Clerk and which is incorporated herein by reference, is hereby approved a adopted. 3. The sections of the Zoning Map of the Borough that relate to the Hilltop Redevelopment Area are hereby amended to incorporate the provisions of 1 Hilltop II Redevelopment Plan. 4.
