A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE APPROPRIATION FROM UNAPPROPRIATED GAS TAX FUND (FUND 2101)
TO THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL DIVISION TO COVER THE COST OF SERVICES FOR A
TRAFFIC SIGNAL REPLACEMENT AT TWEEDY BOULEVARD AND STATE
STREET
WHEREAS, on April 13, 1982, the City entered into an agreement with the
County of Los Angeles to provide traffic signal maintenance for 4 traffic signals that are
co- shared by several agencies including the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, on November 1, 2011, the City Council approved to amend an
agreement with the County of Los Angeles to include 5 additional intersections and to
share cost with the City of South Gate for the maintenance of said intersections; and
WHEREAS, the traffic signal at Tweedy Boulevard and State Street was knocked
down and replaced; and
WHEREAS, the budget approved by the City Council did not anticipate the knock
down of a traffic signal and its replacement at a cost of $28,793; and
WHEREAS, to continue the maintenance of the traffic signals by the, County of
Los Angeles, an appropriation is needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: .
Section 1. That the City Council-authorize the following appropriation:

Section 2. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
