AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
DECOTIIS, FITZPATRICK, COLE & GIBLIN, LLP
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret, (`Borough "), is in need of specialized legal
services with regard to the various legal services within the Borough; and
WHEREAS, DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin, LLP possess the requisite skill and
expertise to provide such specialized legal services; and
WHEREAS, the Law Director of the Borough of Carteret has recommended the
appointment of DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin, LLP to represent the Borough of
Carteret in various matters at a cost not to exceed $100,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose. Account # 9 -01 -20- 155 -254
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret, that DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin, LLP are hereby appointed as special
counsel to represent the Borough of Carteret in the above described matter at a cost not to
exceed $100,000.00; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this appointment is made as a professional services
contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's Fair and
Open Process as authorized by law.

NOTICE OF CONTRACT AWARD
The Borough of Carteret has awarded a contract without
competitive bidding as a Professional Service pursuant to N.J.S.A.
40A:11 -5 (1) (a). This contract and the resolution authorizing it are
available for public inspection in the Office of the Municipal Clerk.
This action is approved as an award of a Professional Services
Contract pursuant to NJ-5-A. 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the
Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
