A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, RATIFYING
APPOINTMENTS TO THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE
SPECIAL MAGISTRATES BOARD; PROVIDING FOR
IMPLEMENTATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on June 5, 2007, the Village Council (the "Council") of the Village of Key
Biscayne (the "Village") adopted Ordinance No. 2007-5, codifying the establishment of the Village's
Board of Special Magistrates (the "Board") for Code Enforcement; and
WHEREAS, the Village Mayor has made his appointments to the Board; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to ratify the appointments to the Board; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best interest of
the Village; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals Adopted. That the foregoing recitals are true and correct and
incorporated herein by this reference.
Section 2. Appointment and Term. That the Village Council hereby ratifies the
Village Mayor's appointment of the following individuals to serve as Special Magistrates on the
Board which shall consist of five members:
1. Mortimer Fried;
2. Dennis O'Hara;
3. Jennifer D. Leal;
4. Rosemary Sala; and
5. Timothy Stickney
The above mentioned Special Magistrates shall serve on the Board for a one-year term
commencing on the effective date of this Resolution.
Section 3. Implementation. That the Mayor and Village Manager are authorized
to take any and all action necessary to implement this Resolution.
Section 4. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.
