The Brewster Old King's Highway Regional Historic District Committee, acting under the Massachusetts General
Laws, Chapter 470, Act5�of 1973 as amended, came to order at 7000 pm virtually being recorded at the Brewster
Town Hall. Committee members present were Jim Trabulsie (Chairperson), Steven Bergquist, Tom Turcketta,
Carol Appleton, Patricia, Busch and George Carey.

Demolition
■ Alison, A3 Architecture, represented the homeowner at the meeting. Application was continued
pending a site visit which was completed.
■ Mr Turcketta stated that he believes the date on the Form B is incorrectly listed. Pat and Carol
concurred that there is no historical significance to the sections proposed to be removed.
■ Tom Turcketta moved to approve. Carol Appleton seconded.
■ All voted to approve the demolition

Alison, A3 Architecture, represented the homeowner at the meeting
Alison reviewed,tthe application with the committee
Steven BergquisIt moved to approve. Tom Turcketta seconded
Carol Appleton abstained, the rest of the committee voted to accept as proposed

New Shed
• David Banash, David Banash PC , represented the homeowner at the meeting
David Banash reviewed the application with the committee
• Jim Trabulsie asked for clarification on the exposure of the siding
Sean Darcy ansvliered that the exposure would be 4" to match the house
• Thomas and Colleen Ladd, 81 Consodine Road, abutters to the project submitted a letter that was read
to the board. In he letter they requested;
o No Change of Use, storage shed only
o No increase in dimension, 11' x18' or smaller
o No increase in ridge height
o Rainwater drainage mitigation

o Not closer than 2' from the property line
• Mr Trabulsie clarified that the request for no change of use does not apply to the Historic District
Committee, the spec sheet states it will be 11 x 18 which is what it must be, no higher than 10'7,
rainwater mitigation does not apply to the Historic District Committee
• Mr Banash clarified that the exact measurement is 19 x 11'4"
• Mr Bergquist asked that it will not exceed 15' in height and Mr Banash stated that the finished height
including footings and subfloor would be 15'2"
• John Kanga, representative to Thomas and Colleen Ladd, addressed the board regarding the Ladd's
request presented in their abutter letter
• Tom Turcketta moved to approve as amended. Carol Appleton seconded
• All voted to approve as amended

Front Lawn Activities
• Requested Continuance until the April 4th meeting
Returning to in person meetings for the Old Kings Highway Historic District Committee
• Committee will meet in person and the applicants will continue to be virtual
• Applicants are riot to be in person until Select Board approves
• Pat, Carol, Tom, George and Jim would like to meet in person. Steven expressed concerns about in
person meetings
• The committee Kequested to continue receiving the packets ahead of the meetings
• Historic District Committee agreed to hybrid meetings, committee in person and applicant virtual

• January 10th 2022
o Tom Turcketta moved to approve the minutes. Steven Bergquist seconded. All voted to approve
the minutes as presented.
