AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
EXCEL ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES, INC.
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional environmental services
related to additional services related to collection and analysis of soil for reuse
characterization with regard to 46 Washington Avenue, for ext. 47; and
WHEREAS, Excel Environmental Resources, Inc. possesses the requisite knowledge,
training, experience and professional license to provide said services; and has submitted a
proposal to provide said services at a cost not to exceed a total amount of $18,913.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose. Acct. # C- 4 -16 -105 -201
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret as follows:
The proposal from Excel Environmental Resources, Inc. for
professional environmental services related to collection
and analysis of soil for reuse characterization with regard to
46 Washington Avenue at a total cost not to exceed
$18,913.00 for ext. #7 at the rate set forth in Excel
Environmental Resources, Inc.'s existing contract with the
Borough is hereby approved.
2. Annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal.
3. This action is approved as an award of a professional
services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 5(l)(a) in
accordance with the Borough's Fair and Open Process as
authorized by law.
4. A copy of this Resolution to be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department and Excel Environmental
Resources, Inc.

and certified as a true copy of the
original on May 17, 2019.
