AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
NAJARIAN ASSOCIATES
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of planning/engineering consulting
services in connection with Permit Support and Preparation, Grant Support, Final Design,
Bid Document Preparation and Construction Administration Services with regard to
Block 102, Lot 5.01 and 5.02, Public Walkway; and
WHEREAS, Najarian Associates, One Industrial Way West, Eatontown, New Jersey
07724, possess the requisite skill and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, Najarian Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said engineering
services at a total cost not to exceed $183,480.00; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose. Acct #: C-04 104 - 201
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. That the proposal from Najarian Associates for
planning/engineering consulting services with regard to Permit
Support and Preparation, Grant Support, Final Design, Bid
Document Preparation and Construction Administration
Services for Block 102, Lot 5.01 and 5.02, Public Walkway, in
a total amount of $183,480.00 billable in accordance with
Najarian's existing contract with the Borough is hereby
approved.
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services
contract pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with
the Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
3. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department, the Director of Engineering and
Najarian Associates.
Adopted this 16 day of May, 2019
and certified as a true copy of the
original on May 16, 2019.
