HomeMy Public PortalAbout048-2012 - Donations - Veterans Memorial Park displays - all diCOMMON COUNCIL CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA ORDINANCE 48-2012 A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.3-2012 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF RICHMOND TO RECEIVE A DONATION OF MEMORIAL DISPLAYS LOCATED IN THE VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK WHEREAS, The City of Richmond, Indiana, has the option of accepting or rejecting donations for a specific purpose; and WHEREAS, The acceptance of a donation for a specific purpose constitutes the appropriation of such property for the intended purpose; and WHEREAS, On February 2, 2010, the Common Council of the City of Richmond passed Ordinance No. 3 -20 10 for the approval of the donation of memorial displays from the Wayne County Veterans Memorial Committee, Inc. and said Ordinance should be amended and supplemented to include any and all recent additions to the Veterans Memorial Park. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that Ordinance No. 3-2010 is amended and supplemented with the below updated donation list and the following shall be accepted and gratefully acknowledged by the citizens of Richmond: The donation of all memorial displays and additions to and within the Veterans Memorial Park from the Wayne County Veterans Memorial Committee, Inc. including: 1. Memorial Shelter 2. Vietnam Wall 3. World War I Display 4. World War II Display S. Korean War Display 6. All Conflicts 7. Granite Tiles (10) 8. Granite Benches (3) 9. Brick Work 10. Lighting 11. Iraq and Afghanistan 12. Women's Display 13. Purple Heart Display 14. Tanks (2) Passed and adopted this day of August, 2012, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
