AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3-2-1 BY INCREASIPTG
THE FEES FOR WATER AND SEWER CONPTECTION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT A,TD BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
That Chapter 6, Article 3, Section 3-2-1 of the Codified.
Ordinances of the Village of Plainfield be amended by striking
therefrom the existing language and inserting. in its stead the
following:
Sec. 3-2-1: Charges for Privilege of water and Sewer
Connection. Be ore or at t e time of issuing any
building permit involving any water connection to the
water main or sewer connection to the sewer main which
is a part of the Combined Sewer and Waterworks of the
Village of Plainfield for the purpose of obtaining
water service or sewer service for any property abutting
such water or sewer main, the owner or owners of such
property or the contractor desiring to make such
connection shall make application, in writing, to the
Village Clerk of the Village of Plainfield for a permit
to connect such water line or sewer line and in
addition to all other charges heretofore established by
Ordinance, pay to said Village Clerk the following fee
or fees for each connection, which said fee or fees
shall be considered the basic water and sewer connection
charges for all users:

6" $3,300.00 $3,600.00
In the event, however, that the above applicant only
desires to make connection to the sewer main, the
applicant must install a water meter on their respective
water service line. This water meter must be installed
by the applicant before any connection is made to the
sewer main. The size of said water meter shall be
approved by the Village's Superintendent of water &
Sewer.
That a copy of this Ordinance, properly certified by the
Village Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of
Deeds of Will County, Illinois, and shall be deemed notice to all
owners of real estate of their liability for water and sewerage
service supplied to any occupant or user of such service on their
properties.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are, to the extent of such conflict, repealed.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its
passage and approval as provided by law.
This Ordinance shall be numbered as Ordinance No. 1121
