A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING
THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR AUDITING SERVICES
RELATED TO THE IDENTIFICATION OF EFFICIENCIES AND IMPROVEMENTS IN
PERFORMANCE BY USE OF BEST PRACTICES PROTOCOLS AND APPLICATION
OF TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, AND AUDIT OF PERFORMANCE, COMPLIANCE
AND PAYMENTS DUE TO THE CITY UNDER CONTRACTS AND FRANCHISE
AGREEMENTS AND THE APPOINTMENT OF, TWO COUNCIL MEMBERS TO WORK
WITH THE AUDIT FIRM AS AN AD HOC CITY COUNCIL SUBCOMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the City Council would like to contract with an auditing firm to identify
efficiencies and improvements in performance by use of best practices protocols and
application of technology solutions, and audit of performance, compliance- and payments
due to the City under contracts and franchise agreements; and
WHEREAS, it is recommended that two City Council Members are appointed to
work with audit firm.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes staff to solicit requests for proposals
for auditing related to the identification of efficiencies and improvements in performance by
use of best practices protocols and application of technology solutions, and audit of
performance, compliance and payments due to the City under contracts and franchise
agreements.
Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the appointment of two City Council
Members to work with the audit firm as an Ad Hoc City Council Subcommittee.
Section 3. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7t" day of April, 2015.
