A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE CONTINUATION OF THE CONTRACT WITH SEQUOIA FINANCIAL SERVICES
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A NEW AGREEMENT
WITH THE AGENCY
WHEREAS, the City's existing contract with Sequoia Financial Services will
expire on May 31, 2015; and
WHEREAS, the agency has demonstrated aggressiveness in their collection
efforts and communicates well with staff; and
WHEREAS, the City is satisfied with the quality and timeliness of services
currently provided by the agency and determined that it would be more beneficial to
continue with Sequoia Financial Services than seeking for a new firm; and ,
WHEREAS, the City recommends a contract for a two -year term, with a not -to-
exceed amount of $15,000 per year.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That' the City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute a
contract for a two -year term not to exceed $15,000 per year in a form agreed to by the
City Attorney.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21St day of April, 2015.
